The Challenge
Our client is a bold, innovative bakery and patisserie brand launching across various local markets in the UK. Operating in a high-traffic, ever-changing pop-up environment, the brand faced a unique challenge:
Every market day is a fresh start with a completely new audience.
They needed a visual identity that could instantly cut through the noise, command attention, and communicate their "daring & experimental" DNA to passersby who had never encountered the brand before.

Our Strategy & Design Solution
Visual Clarity & Instant Impact: To lower the barrier for new customers, we prioritized radical transparency. Instead of abstract graphics, we utilized high-fidelity product photography paired with bold, legible typography for names and pricing. This "what-you-see-is-what-you-get" approach ensures instant cravings and quick decision-making in a busy market setting.
The Colour Palette: We departed from the soft, pastel "cottage-core" aesthetic typical of bakeries. Instead, we chose a high-contrast pairing of Mustard Yellow and Forest Green. This palette radiates energy and modern edge, ensuring the stall stands out as a visual anchor in any unfamiliar venue.
Typography: We blended organic Handwritten scripts (representing the artisanal, handmade nature of the products) with Decorative Sans-serifs (symbolizing the brand’s innovative spirit).
The Logo: The brand mark features a Retro-Futuristic aesthetic—a nod to the client’s philosophy of adding a modern twist to traditional recipes. The fluid lines mimic the texture of whipped double cream, highlighting their signature ingredient while creating a visual tension that is striking yet harmonious.
